The VOX Haps…11/15/2006

VOXers–

Is it Saturday yet? I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the big game! Go BUCKS!

At least VOX has some haps to keep you from biting your nails until game time. On with the haps…

The Haps….

Our next VOX Gathering will be THIS THURSDAY, 7pm, at Drew and Bekah’s house (602 Brussel St.). Come for a time of prayer, a study of the Word, and some good food and good times. We’ll continue our culture shapers series with Joseph (Gen. 37-48)

Serve: Our November monthly service project will be this Saturday. We have 2 amazing options for you. First, we need as many of you possible to participate in our Leaf Blitz. Meet at AEMC (300 park st.) this Saturday, at 9:30 am. We’ll spend a couple of hours raking people’s lawns, free of charge. Bring a rake and some warm clothes.

Also, for those of you who are into the construction type of thing, we could use your help at The Wherehouse this Saturday. A group will be putting the new siding on the building. They’ll be starting at 8 am and will wrap things up around 1pm. (in plenty of time for the big game!)

Word: We’re going to pick up our Go Fish outreach training this Sunday, 9:45 am, AEMC basement. Come and join us…

Fuel: Tuesday night, 8:30 pm, at Lisa Lugbill’s house (320 Short-Buehrer Rd.). We meet, we pray, we watch God work.

Parting Shot….

Seventy percent of success in life is showing up. –Woody Allen

Leaf Blitz! (Nov. Serve)

Who: You, Your Friends, Your alter ego…
What to bring: A rake, warm clothes, and a truck (if you own one)

The Feast: Italy

’Nuff preachin’. On with the Haps…
